SUNDAY! SUNDAY! SUNDAY! Pickup Truck Smackdown

2 pick-up trucks, side by side, at a stoplight at an intersection in Silver Spring:

On the left, Blue Ford F-150. Bumper stickers that read "Ted Kennedy's Car Has Killed More People Than My Gun"; "Bush/Cheney '04"; "George Allen--Senate" (Virginia plates)

On the right (yes, this one was on the right), white Toyota Whatever pickup with bumper stickers reading "More Trees, Less Bush", "I'll be Postfeminist in the Postpatriarchy", and "January 20, 2009: The End of an Error".

What a country! I always liked the less popular but more powerful "I don't trust any bush except my own!"

I liked the "postfeminist" one, I'd never seen it before. I try not to judge the driver, you never know if it's some poor person here visiting and driving a family member's car.

Aah, so I see you were behind me and my husband :)

It sounds like you witnessed a real-life, modern-day version of the Wacky Races! Was Mutley in the F-150?

This is wonderful! You live in such a diverse place.

Were this to happen here in NW Georgia, yes there would definitely be two pickup trucks. But one would have a "W" Still the Presidnt and the other would have had a Ron Paul 2008 sticker.

We don't know big words like postfeminist and postpatriarchy down here.

Ha ha! Too funny! There was a lawsuit here because a woman received a ticket for a a bumper sticker that said "I'm Tired Of All The BUSHIT".

dcup, where in NW Georgia are you? I'm in Atlanta.

Spartacus---It was a woman in the F150!
Dcup--that cracked me up!
SS--She got a ticket? Unbelievable!

Here's an article about the lady who got the ticket (and sorry but I'm not smart enough to figure out how to do an actual link in comments).

Awww crap, that didn't work either. Just google "bush bumper sticker lawsuit" and there are links to a couple of articles. I'll stop posting comments now.

Hi, Sauntering. I'm in Taylorsville. It's a tiny rural community between Cartersville, Rockmart and Rome.

P.S. Love your blog posts about poop! OMG too funny.

CDP said...

SS--I'm not either! I'll look it up!
Lady--I know, that would have been perfect
Wyld--and I'd be the Toyota!

Fuel is the adrenaline of any car, truck or engine. Thus, it is every vehicle owner's wish to enhance the fuel of their car and save more of it as well. With this in mind, the most innovative fuel-saving tool in the automotive industry was conceptualized and created: the Tornado Fuel saver. An automotive air channeling tool that creates a swirling air motion, the Tornado Fuel Saver allows the air to move in a faster and more efficient way by whirling air around corners and bends. Hence, more fuel is saved.
