Even I can do this math

40 grade points

divided by 10 credits

equals 4

(as in POINT-OH)

Another class is starting on Tuesday: The Novel in America Since 1914. Unfortunately, I

1. Don't get to choose which post-1914 novels to read

and

2. Have to write about them, not just read them

Damn "professors" and their "syllabuses" (yes I know that's not the plural for "syllabus". When Julius Caesar wins the next election, I'll start speaking Latin again). My march toward academic total awesomeness continues. Phi Beta Kappa Society: Call me!

A 4.0 and summer school?! You're the wind beneath my wings.
I start full-time in August and can't decide what to fear more--quitting my job or going back to school. I may have to start hitting the sauce.

So what will you be reading?

I'm so happy for your 4.0. That's awesome!

Look at you, rollin' with your 4.0.

Funny, talented and smart.

Stop!

You are the best!

What grade are you in now? 25th or 26th?

r cubed--I've always wanted to be the wind beneath someone's wings. Of course, "summer school" consists of one class, so maybe I'm more of a puff of air.

Dcup--I start with "Death Comes for the Archbishop". I don't love Willa Cather, so we'll see.

Beckeye--Yes, I got 99 problems, but a bad GPA ain't one.

Fran--no, I can't be the best, YOU'RE the best!

Dr. M.--I lost count.

Great! Time to throw a kegger and get the Dean's daughter in trouble.

Whiskeymarie said...

Um, no one told me there would be math involved here.

Congrats on the 4-oh, smartypants.

CDP said...

Dr. Z--let me handle the keg, you take care of the Dean's daughter.

WM--that's the only math I hafta do! No more math requirements for me, and good thing, as my ability is pretty much limited to 40 divided by 10 equals 4!

It's a great feeling isn't it? Funny how much more important those numbers are the 2nd time around. I've got a big ole smirk on for you.

CDP said...

Lady--thanks! You did it, so I can too, right?
