In which I beg that SOMEONE, ANYONE, rip the crack pipe out of my hand...

2 small children
Husband
Full-time job
House
Swim team
Hell, that leaves me PLENTY of time to go back to school!
One more week until class is finished; blogging may be lame or nonexistent until then. And PS--if you're already feeling a little melancholy, put down that copy of The Bluest Eye right now. I'll readily concede that it's a great book and that it's a story that needs to be told, but it also temporarily caused me to lose my will to live. Bleak.

One more week. One paper to finish, and then a week at the Jersey Shore. (shut up, it's awesome). Happy weekend!

Step away from the crack pipe! Step away from the crack pipe!

And sweet jaysus it's SUMMER!

Are you barkin mad?

And WOW--that is one great review of The Bluest Eye. It's interesting to me that both Morrison's and Walker's first novels were such gritty, realistic (read: depressing) books. But also some of their best work. You should check out Walker's The Third Life of Grange Copeland. Not as heartbreaking as Bluest Eye (thank god), but still bitter.

I definitely don't need to read that book after the past couple of months I've had.

Hang in there and lots of luck for surviving the next week!

Hey the Jersey shore is awesome. Would you mind sending some salt water taffy and a few seashells?

Okay - you definitely have earned that vacation.

I'll stay away from the book for now.

The Jersey Shore saps my will to live.

Dguzman--clearly I am. I have no idea what I was thinking.

SS--no, you're the LAST person I'd want to see reading that right now.

Suze--sure. How about some cream mints and fudge?

Dcup--thanks!

Pistols--that leaves more room on the beach and the boardwalk and the Copper Kettle and Mack's Pizza for the rest of us.

I hate bleak books.

I'll never read that Bambi shit ever again.

Well, I hope you have fun, but I'll be sulking until the blogging gets back to normal.

Because it's all about me and MY needs.

Take me to the shore with you. I'm great at the beach. In fact, you could say I'm a son of the beach.

You had me at Jersey shore... (just back from Cali and dropping in for a quick hello.)

Anyone who does not think the Jersey shore is great can get in touch, I may have to put down my own crack pipe and kick some butt.

Hang in there!!

Dr. Monkey--why, you...

Michaele--thank you! Just a few more days, can't wait!

Fran--I know, it's awesome, right? Welcome back from Cali!

hi! i'm enjoying your blog.

you're making me miss school so much! it's hard making a transition from student life... i was so good at it!

but it sounds like you have a double whammy--school and work (or, a quadruple? school, work, family).

i admire your dedication! helps me see that i can go back to school once life officially commences.
