Krazy Korean Komedy

Running gag in our house:

Me: Random comment or observation. Some examples:
Hey, I talked to so and so today.
The kids have a doctor's appointment tomorrow.
I need to take my car in this week.

Him: Ah, so.

Me: Asshole? That's harsh, isn't it? I just need an oil change. Sheesh.

OK, it's way funnier live.

I do love me some ethnic humor. I should marry a Crazy Ethnic just for comedy purposes.

Suze and dguzman--thanks! Now I don't feel bad that I laugh my fool head off every time we do this routine.

Pistols--I've said it before, but again, I must express my admiration...your willingness to even consider marriage just for the comedy potential inherent in a mixed marriage demonstrates that your commitment to a cheap joke is even greater than mine.

Hot Brazilian and I have a "special" kind of mixed culture relationship humor as well, so I know how loud you must laugh about this. Ours normally consists of him saying something that makes absolutely no sense whatsoever and I tell him I have no idea what he's talking about. He always replies with, "Darling, you really need to learn how to speak English better" and we both crack up. And I'm sure it's not funny to anyone else but us.

P.S. One example is when he kept telling me his teenaged son has a "belly full of 8 beers" and I had no idea what he was talking about. We finally figured out he was trying to tell me his son has a six pack.

Why does this remind me of one of the best ongoing jokes between Lucy and Desi?

Hey do you have any good ones about Mexican American husbands? Hubby and I could use a little livening up in our conversations.

enc--I know, it cracks me up every time, too.

Lisa--I usually don't even look up from what I'm's like a conditioned reflex.

SS--"belly full of 8 beers" cracked me up!!

Susan--that's like one of my best comments ever.

Michaele--I'll think about that one and get back to you!
