Wait, can I count the bibliography?

Know how you know that a paper is going badly? When you think that you've wrung every possible drop of wordage out of a topic, and you do a word count, and you find that your 1250 word paper has 948 words in it. I'm going to need at least 300 words worth of comments from you people, because I'm going to copy and paste them RIGHT IN THERE. Thank you in advance for your assistance.

I hear ya. I have one more to write for this semester, which is over in less than a month, and I haven't even started the research. I like to live on the edge....

Oh, I used to always write short. I never got in trouble as long as the paper was good.

Will it be about interpretive dance deconstruction or rebellious preposition use? I need a hint or two in order to provide some filler.

I always consider writing the same sentence over and over until I have enough. OK - sorry this not helpful. I do work with teenagers all day.

Embee--I totally did that this time. I usually start drafting these things way in advance, but this one is the work of no more than 5 days.

WendyB--my usual problem is excessive length...I usually spend my last day working on a paper excising. Not on this one, though.

Lisa--You know very well that I'm a reactionary where preposition use is concerned!

Mathman--you know, he teaches two sections of this class, so he'll have about 50 or more of these things to grade. This is my second semester with him and he's never given me less than a 97...I wonder if he'd notice. Hmmmm.

Here you go:

She showed a remarkable amount of esprit de corps at such a young age.

I think this was actually on one of my AF evaluations. I think it would apply to any topic though. Go ahead, give it a try :)
